Mireille is the visual artist and surface designer behind Pip&Bird Designs. Based on Vancouver Island off the West Coast of Canada, she draws inspiration from the slow pace of island life, the nearby ocean and the natural beauty that surrounds her. Passionate about beautiful interiors, she is obsessed with the textiles and wallpapers that make a place feel truly special.

    Painting primarily in gouache, acrylic and watercolour, Mireille's art explores the interplay between colour, light, texture and movement. When she isn't making art she can usually be found pottering about her garden or planning her next cultural adventure. She lives with her high school sweetheart and their two daughters, Audrey and Beatrice. The ethos behind Pip&Bird Designs reflects Mireille's belief that making the world more beautiful - through art, kindness and thoughtful design - is always worthwhile.
